A Series of Fortunate Events
Since hearing of Jonathan having cancer, I have been praying for him and his friends and family.  After reading his blog and even hearing an audio of a doctors appointment, I could tell just how much he wanted to fight this disease.  He was a very determined young man.  A young man who over the past 4 months has been an example and an inspiration to me.  Hearing the strength in his voice as he fought and searched for answers as to what treatment was available made me want to be more earnest about things in my life.  The things the Lord puts before us to do on a daily basis.   My daughter-in-law Christina and I shared on a daily basis what we had read on Facebook, just like it was world news.  She says she is definitely closer to the Lord since yesterday's memorial service.  I am sure many would say the same thing.  All the things that were said were just right.

Seeing Carolyn's faith through this has been amazing.  I met her back in 1980 at Bellflower Brethren and have seen her as gracious and loving in all situations.  I met Chris back then as well and have been privileged to be in bible study when he has taught.
I could see the family smiling in pictures during Jonathan's illness and yet I knew there had to be deep hurt and trials going on.  I can't say I know how much it hurts, but I do know the Lord will heal in His time.  The same with Dawn, she was loving, smiling and supporting Jonathan.  What more can we do for the most special people in our lives. I want to share two scriptures.

Psalm 119:76
Let, I pray Thee, Thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Thy word unto Thy Servant.

Hebrews 11:1 Fairth is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

My prayers will continue for all of you family and friends of Jonathan,

Love in King Jesus, Sue Warth
