A Series of Fortunate Events
I was so sad to hear about the loss of my cousin, Jonathan.  He had this wonderful sense of humor that just made you want to be around him.  He had a smile that was contagious and it could brighten anyone’s day.  He had a heart of gold and cherished his family, his friends, and his fiancée, Dawn.

I’m thankful that Jonathan was able to make a trip to Northern California in August.    Little did I realize that this would be the last time I saw him.  He always exhibited such positive energy and had a great attitude towards life.  He was a fighter and since the day he was diagnosed with cancer was determined to beat it.  If anyone could beat the battle against cancer Jonathan could.  He gave us hope and was an inspiration to all of us.

Unfortunately, the cancer that had spread so rapidly had weakened his body to the point where he couldn’t fight any longer.  And although we will all miss him dearly, we know in our hearts that he is in a better place, free of pain and suffering and that this was the Lord’s plan for him.

We will always remember him and cherish the memories.  He will remain in our hearts forever.
