Dear Jona,

Jan/Feb 2006: The buzz light year photo was taken one of the first time I visited you & Dawn in L.A. since I’ve been living in the States.

I remember playing tennis with you. I remember staying a weekend at Dawn’s place in Bellflower, spending the weekend with both of them. I think it was when I first met Dawn. I thought you were one of the most beautiful couple I’d ever seen. I still believe it.

August 2009: 4 pictures of the night at the Japanese Restaurant w/ Dawn, you, Natacha & me (and the funny Mexican teppanyaki cook) in downtown Santa Monica.

I was so happy to introduce you & Dawn to Natacha (and vice-versa).

I know you since we were kids. We spent so much time together back then, in school, during the weekends, at Church, Sunday-School, holidays, vacations at the beach or skiing. I remember saying goodbye to you at the train station of Chalon when he left France with his family. I remember this day very clearly. I remember the first trips to the U.S. to visit your family, how excited I was to see my best friends again! Not sure I even noticed I was in the States. Though I remember the first time you brought Yves (my brother) and me to a US movie theater, $5.00 a ticket to go see whatever we wanted in a huge movie theater… nothing like we’d ever seen in France. Las Vegas, San Diego . . . So many memories.

Jona, you were not only a friend but a real brother to me. I will hold you dear in my heart forever.

I miss you so much Jona, you will never EVER leave my memories.

Your friend,
Nico
