Has Anyone H.E.A.R.D. of This?
"The very first day of the rest of my life." - Unknown

Both of our families (Dawn and mine) did quite a bit of research on E.H.  We scoured the internet, sending each other links to the same five pages that popped up on Google.  We found the shortest entry ever recorded on Wikipedia.  Sound all too familiar?  Get your M.D. online in less than a day!  All you need is an iphone with a data plan.  Mention promo code Jona Vark to receive a $25 rebate!

Fortunately, my mom ran into H.E.A.R.D., a global registry ran by patients, for patients diagnosed with E.H. This could be the best forum to get more information about this rare condition.  I sent an email through the ‘Contact Us’ link.

Dawn’s mother ran across an interesting article as well.  It was a case study of 10 patients who had liver transplants due to H.E.H.E.  Five of them had lung metastases.   Two of the patients from the case study had passed away.  Surprisingly, all five with metastases were still alive and well at the time of the study.  From this link, I was able to pull many more findings and case studies.  I easily retrieved the titles and authors of a substantial amount of studies conducted worldwide.  Most were from Europe, some published in French.  Others were from Asia and North America.  Based on the abstracts and dates, it seemed as though E.H. was becoming evermore common.  However, I couldn't find easy access to any of the articles.  Here are a few samples of some of the titles I ran across.  CLICK HERE.

Today was the very first day of the rest of my life.
